Materials

The materials used in the making of my jewellery are sourced from a number of different suppliers and there will be an occasional one off piece that has been recycled from a pre-loved item, either owned by me or donated.

I aim to source from and support local and small businesses. This enables me to source some wonderful hand made and bespoke components.

A variety of beads are used from beautiful raw gemstones to acrylic, polymer clay, wood, metal, alloy and glass as well as special hand crafted or hand painted beads. Crystals are used in various forms including Swarovski and Czech.

There is also a limited range made with entirely sterling silver components and either or both of raw gemstones and Swarovski crystals.

Wire work pieces are made from base metal wires which have been plated with gold, silver or other colouring.

Clasps are generally base metal or alloy which are plated with silver, gold and other colouring.

Stringing is either tiger tail, beadalon stringing wire, wire, leather, elastic or chain.

My aim is to protect sensitive ears by using hypoallergenic and nickel free Ear Wires

For silver earrings, these are either 925 sterling silver or titanium

Copper and antique style use copper or niobium.

Gold earrings will have 316 stainless steel with14k gold plating.

These materials are evolving over time and I hope to introduce more new, exciting and beautiful components to my jewellery in the future.

Items are priced in line with the work in the piece and the value of the components.

**Please note that information provided on materials used is reliant on the information provided to me by my suppliers at the time of purchase and I am putting my trust in them to provide as specified.
